There's a community for whatever you're interested in on reddit. The only columns that will stay on sfgate.com are from sports and arts & entertainment. They censor comments and terminate accounts if you don't carry the their one sided slant.
I went over to sfgate looking for information after the shootings in half moon bay earlier this year, and their top featured story was the defeat of woke m&m's gives me hope for this.
Sfgate and freedom of expression? So they hire former gawker people and people who write that particular genre. I have to admit, it was always entertaining reading the comments on sf gate. Sfgate.com will no longer feature articles from the columnists.
I used to enjoy reading them and now none of the articles have comments?!?! Reddit is a network of communities where people can dive into their interests, hobbies and passions. Same thing used to happen with many print newspapers / tabloids / magazines to. No articles have comments enabled.
