I have a laz point cloud file and i want to generate a dem from it in arcgispro to be used as an evaluation source for another layer. Allow arcgis pro/conversion/convert las to work with laz files without a prj and let the user define which prj to apply to the output las or zlas file. I have downloaded laz files from the usgs national map.

I have the lastools toolbox and have looked through the tools and not had I've been researching all morning and i believe i'm getting myself. Every tutorial i have found says to download laszip. I am attempting to view lidar point cloud data in arcgis pro.

I've tried processing an entire quadrant of a quadrangle at once, and then a single laz, and each time. I am trying to convert laz files to las. However, arcgis requires only.las file. Dear sir or madam, i've a problem that i need.laz importing into arcmap.
I need to convert it to.las format. Here is a screenshot of what i have in the point cloud data folder after downloading and unzipping. I have all these laz files and they continue as i scroll down. The problem being that the download link on laszip.org gives a 404
