Used the default install folder : Including images, stylesheets and javascript files. This is a fairly general query as i'm very confused about how to do this.

I am running xampp on my windows 7 machine and was wondering if and how i could run commands for xampp via a command line. How can i change my default xampp localhost c:xampp/htdoc to another folder i.e. After that copied all the files.

I tried to download the latest php version from the main php site but when i check (phpinfo) i still get that the previous version is. The web directory is the home of all of your application's public and static files. I want to use the apache server which i have downloaded as part of xampp in order to test the website i am building,. I just followed the below steps step 1:
Moved (cut/paste) all the files in c:\xampp\mysql\data to desired backup location.
It is also where the front controllers live. C:\xampp i need to point to a different htdocs folder. When i use the ip address i should be able to view my website file in c:/alan. I have faced the same problem.
Where can i locate it?
