It just says 0 rpm in omen gaming hub when this happens. The cooling system in my laptop has stopped working as it should. Pc was working fine all these years, suddenly went to turn it on and loud fan noise, blank screen, pc won't boot.

It doesn’t matter whether the laptop is idle or running games—the fans. I have a hp victus 16 s0004ns, i have had a big problem for a long time. My fans have been randomly shutting off lately.
I don't do much gaming but i wanted to add a gpu that would handle gaming better than the integrated gpu.
I added the msi gtx1660 but after doing so, my fan idle speed has gone way. I've seen other posts from people with similar issues but. The fans keep randomly turning off, and i can't find a solution. The fans are very noisy and they are very annoying in the library and elsewhere;
Omen hub shows 0 rpm and doesn't respond to selecting max fan speed or any other option. They are always active or almost. My hp omen max 16 gaming laptop seems to always have the fans spinning at around 1900 rpm, even when it's in low power mode or when i disable the nvidia gpu. I’ve been using my hp omen 17 without issues until recently, when the cooling fans began stopping at random.
My problem is the same as many others i have seen listed.
